Dublin North TD and Minister of State Trevor Sargent today congratulated all those involved in Tidy Towns committees across Fingal. Minister for the Environment and Green Party Leader John Gormley TD today presented awards to winning towns.
Minister Sargent said, “This was another good year for Fingal, with Skerries bringing home three prizes: the Dublin Regional Award, the Fingal Award and the Best Dublin Bring Bank. Malahide, meanwhile, won the Gold Medal in its category and was Highly Commended in the Fingal competition and Howth was Commended in the same competition. My home town of Balbriggan won the Fingal Endeavour Award, improving by 9.34% from 2006 and its town centre won the Dublin Landscaping Award. Congratulations also to St Patrick’s Boys National School in Donabate, which won the Dublin Schools Award.”
