Minister Sargent Welcomes 60 New Jobs for Swords.
The Minister for Food and Horticulture and Dublin North TD, Trevor Sargent, has welcomed the announcement today that Renishaw Ireland is to expand its Swords’ operation.
60 new jobs are to be created in the new plant with the help of the IDA. There will be 17 Research & Development positions and 43 manufacturing positions. The new facility will design and make new medical instruments to treat a range of neurological diseases. The jobs will be rolled out over the next 3 years.
The Minister said, “It bodes well for the future that Swords is to be the centre of Renishaw’s R & D strategy. It is already a significant employer of highly skilled personnel and I wish it every success in the years to come.”
