Shelter needed for popular Malahide Bus Stop?

Minister Sargent, responding to a number of requests from Malahide residents, has approached Fingal County Council to see if it is feasible to erect a shelter at the bus stop opposite St. Sylvester’s Church in Malahide.

Commenting on the issue, Minister Sargent said, “This is a very popular bus stop for the people of Malahide and often sees large numbers waiting for the 42 bus to town. It is unfortunate that very often they get a drenching from our very unpredictable and changeable weather. A simple, cantilever-type shelter would give them the protection they need without blocking the pathway.”

Minister Sargent has written to the Transportation Department in Fingal County Council suggesting that this problem be addressed by a collaboration between the Council and Dublin Bus.
